just installed a new app on my phone which needs to access the phones data,
to stop it asking for permission all the time i can change (under "application access") whether the program can read data without the phone needing to ask me, problem is, some of the options (like "always allowed" - to stop the phone asking me at all) arent available for the application, and either it has to "ask every time" or its "not allowed" at all! ![]() does anyone know how to make the other options available? the app is basically unusable as it needs to access the phones data every few secs and its drivin me mad!! thanks in advance... ![]() |

Is it a Java or Symbian app you're having problems with? ...and what phone are you installing it on?
It may be because the app isn't signed. |

Only the developer can sign their application. I believe it's fairly expensive for them to buy the certificate, so many don't bother.
