First, you go to the Home page, on the left column, you will find all the "free stuffs"(blue). If you don't mind to pay to support the site, you can check the "premium stuff" (orange) section. You mentioned about the free software, you can go here and see there lots of mobile software and they are all FREE! If you're also interested in making friends and socializing with other members, you can visit the Forum. There are lots of topics and very helpful/useful information. If you wanna have some fun and chat with others, just stop by the Lounge section of the Forum. I mostly made all my friends in there by posting and talking to other members
