They are one whole story that links with each other. And btw when you complete a chapter do not delete it untill you load it in the next chapter as you can bring over your save data

Yeah , 2-1 is the next episode after 1.3 , in some chapters you may come across some tool thingy and the game itself when you start the game. Not too sure what the game does but you can still play it normally by choosing the game

i'm at 2-2 as well... got lazy and don't want to continue though... kinda disappointed because of the level and gold cap in each episode
